The Siebrecht Family

Dale and Lisa’s family farm is not quite a century farm yet, but it’s getting close. The farm was founded by Lisa’s grandfather, who began the tradition of what is now 1,650 acres of land.  Farming is what Dale has always wanted to do.  It’s what he grew up doing and loved doing it. H e says you have to be a “jack of all trades” and be good at it in order to be a successful farmer.

The farming practices include conventional farming, such as chisel plowing, and raising Berkshire pigs from farrow-to-finish.  They also sell Curry seed on the side. The Siebrechts used to raise sheep, goats and cattle but focus solely on Berkshire pigs now.

Dale and Lisa’s favorite meaty meal is pork roast, mashed potatoes with gravy, and green bean casserole. Don’t forget to top all this off with an afternoon nap.
