The Klein Family

The Klein farm has been in the family for 50 years.  Mike Klein’s dad originally moved onto the 280 acres of land to work as a tenant farmer until he was able to purchase it in 1985.

Mike says farming is the only thing he could see himself doing.  He didn’t see any point in spending 7+ years in college to be a vet when he was already doing what he enjoyed.  The farming practices at the Klein farm involves minimal or no-till beans, and raising cows, sheep, and Berkshire pigs.  Mike raises the Berkshires farrow-to-finish.

As for his personal favorite meaty meal, the choice is BBQ ribs.
