Keith Henry has been a part of the family farm for his entire life – the same farm his dad owned before him. Although his dad has moved on to the century farm, the family continues to own 500 acres of land and farm an additional 1,200 acres.
Keith asks himself everyday why he is a farmer, and quickly realizes farming is his lifestyle, not just his job. The job and lifestyle provide independence and gratification and he hopes that his children will follow in his footsteps someday.
The farming practices on the Henry farm are conventional and include raising corn-fed beef and hogs. Other animals you might find on the farm include dogs and cats.
Keith’s favorite meaty meal? Top loin, Iowa chop or sliced loin roast.
